Girl Meets World: Santa Is a Fan!

The awesomely adorable August Maturo got a letter from Santa Claus, in which the jolly and generous legend said he'd be watching Girl Meets World. True story, watch the Instagram video.

Despite this whole belief that Santa only works one day a year, he is a very busy man. He has to take care of the reindeer and give them routine maintenance, check the elves toy making progress - there are millions of good kids in the world, so it takes a little more than a month to make the toys - and if an elf calls in sick? Santa's on the floor himself. Then there's this whole business with sorting every kid in the world into naughty and nice lists, and then checking them twice. That doesn't leave a lot of time for television viewing. The fact Santa is clearing time for Girl Meets World is a major honor.

He probably rooted for Cory and Topanga on Boy Meets World, just like the rest of us.

Girl Meets World: Second Live Taping

They're just going to be able to sneak Maitland Ward and Rider Strong into episodes without us knowing. "Maitland and/or Rider's on set? Just another Tuesday!"

The early buzz is so far, so awesome! Not too many details are known at the moment, but make sure you check out our friends at bmwsequel.com, because they're going to have all the fan reactions.

This episode is the last one to tape in 2013, so everything will be dark for the holidays. But the next episode to tape is less than a month from now, on January 14, 2014, so there's still plenty to be excited about. And 2014 also means these episodes will be seeing the light of day and finally airing on Disney Channel. I personally cannot wait.

Girl Meets World Writers Tease Very Special On Set Guest

That just doesn't sound like Minkus. Now, special guest doesn't necessarily mean special guest star, but why so secret? We all know that Maitland Ward, Rider Strong, and even Will Friedle have visited the set in the past. Those pictures were all over the Internet.

I'm not a betting woman (yes, I am, actually) but if I had to put money on it, today's guest is the guest star we've all been trying to guess.

And despite my previous claims, this tweet has lead me to believe it's Anthony Tyler Quinn.

What do you think?

Girl Meets World: August Maturo Participates in On Set Toy Donation

Okay, guys, I know my updates have been sporadic as of late. That's because of a combination of not too much going on right now (and possibly absolutely nothing going on around the holidays) and me being the tiniest bit lazy. I can admit it. I haven't been coming up with topics or researching leads the way I should be - but I need to save something for off-season. Anyway, let's get to the actual reason for the update:
Do good indeed. I've mentioned I'm from Southern California, so I can explain the finer details - I'm pretty sure everyone grasps the basic idea of a toy drive. Spark of Love is sponsored by ABC 7 (the LA ABC) and Fire Departments all over Southern California to collect toys for children in need. I mean, it's seriously not just LA - five SoCal counties participate.  This is Spark of Love's ninth year.

If you want more information on Spark of Love, you can view that here. Congrats to Girl Meets World for participating, and everyone who remembers to do good this holiday season.

Girl Meets World: Who Is Going to Be The First Boy Meets World Guest Star?

Yesterday, the Girl Meets World writers, on their brand spanking new Twitter account (@GMWWriters) teased that they knew who the first Boy Meets World character to guest star on Girl Meets World would be. Today they dropped a big hint:
"The other side of the school" is a reference I use a lot, so I feel this narrows it down to two characters - Minkus and Turner. While Michael Jacobs has said that he wants to explain what happened to Turner on Girl Meets World, I just don't feel like they would tip their cards so early in the series. It's a moment everyone anticipates - keep it until season 2 has at least been announced.

I'm leaning towards Minkus, and I'm glad. I loved Minkus. He was just the perfect antagonist.

But, hey, who knows? A lot of students and faculty disappeared from John Adams High. It could be Eli, or Harley Keiner, or Dana Pruitt, or... you get the idea.

Who do you think the first Boy Meets World guest on Girl Meets World will be?

Mark Blutman Wishes Us A Happy Thanksgiving

Yes, Thanksgiving was yesterday, but I was busy enjoying it with my family. It's the thought that counts.

Why Is Today's Girl Meets World Taping Canceled?

Those of you who have tickets to today's Girl Meets World live taping may have been suprised to learn last minute that it was canceled. You may have been left wondering why.
There you go, that's your answer. Don't be too disheartened, though, as more tapings are on the horizon.

Girl Meets World: Two More Live Taping Dates Added!

Let's all thank Sabrina Carpenter for having our back! November 26 is this coming Tuesday, and December 17 is three weeks from this Tuesday. If I get to go, it'll be December 17, but those tickets will likely be sold out before I can arrange anything.

How exciting, though! It's all really happening!

Girl Meets Tweets: Super Successful First Live Taping Edition

After a successful first taping, Danielle Fishel took to Twitter to congratulate the kids, and the congratulations just could not be stopped. Hopefully with all of the positive feedback, they'll add more tapings sooner than later and your friendly neighborhood Amanda will get to go. It sounds like it was a total blast.

Congrats to everyone on the Girl Meets World cast and crew, and congrats to the audience, too, for making this taping a success.

Girl Meets Tweets: Special Set Visitor Edition

As you know, tonight was Girl Meets World's first live taping, and no, I wasn't there. I don't want to talk about it. But as you can see from these Tweets, Maitland Ward from Boy Meets World was there and posed for some pics with her former castmate Ben Savage, and new generation stars Corey Fogelmanis and Peyton Meyer. Much like Rider Strong, she visited during the pilot as well.

I don't hate Rachel, but she better not be living in the crawl space with Uncle Shawn.

Girl Meets World: Class Is In Session

In one of the interviews I'm too lazy to look up now, Ben Savage said that Riley is definitely Cory's daughter, but she got at least one trait from Topanga - if Cory had sat any further back in class, he would have been Shawn.

Interesting is that Maya sits next to her instead of behind her. In fact, the main characters are in a box formation instead of a line. Also, Feeny's lesson is in the back of the room: "Dream. Try. Do good."

I could not be any more excited for this series. You know, until the next pictures, and the next episode, and the press release...

Girl Meets Tweets: Chewbacca and Plankton Edition

They settled that much more quickly than my brother and I decided who had which joke name Mom came up with. As I mentioned before, they could have fun, alternative middle names. Who knows, they could be Riley Chewbacca and Louis Plankton Matthews.

That would actually be hilarious.

A New Twitter Game Based on Rider Strong

I was doing some research on search engine ratings when I noticed that Yahoo Autocomplete was totally insane. Typing in "Rider Strong never liked" returns some crazy results. Some favorites:

It's really simple if you want to play along. Go to Yahoo, type in "Rider Strong never liked" without the quotes, and go nuts. Post your favorite absurdities to Twitter with the hashtag #riderstrongneverliked. I hope to see some of your craziness soon.

My Girl Meets World Rumors Borderline Fanfiction

It couldn't have happened to a luckier kid. If you don't know my feelings about Rider Strong and Shawn Hunter... click the tags.  That, and I actively tried to be hippy Topanga is my entire back story.

We know Rider Strong was on set for the pilot, too. They say Rider's just involved as a fan right now, but I have my own theory. A totally made up borderline fanfic theory. Weird Uncle Shawn lives in the crawl space. He occasionally comes down to drop words of wisdom, mostly to Riley about how awesome Cory actually is. Also, for some reason, he never wears a shirt. Yes, please.

I'm kidding, but it's actually genius. If Rider Strong goes to visit all the time, they could put him in an episode with nobody knowing. "Oh, Rider's on set? Just another Tuesday." And then, bam, a happy surprise for everyone.

Girl Meets Tweets!

More Tweets, this time from the lovely ladies.
This spawned from Rowan originally apologizing for the words of her generation, but that junior Betty totally spazzed and tried to make amends for a phrase tossed around years before she was born. "Ugh as if" was famously uttered by Cher Horowitz in the 1995 teen classic Clueless and taught my generation such words as Barney, Baldwin, Betty, and Mamie. Whatever.

And that's what they continued to do until Danielle defined what a gas chromotograph mass spectrometer was and Sabrina wondered why she wasn't their teacher. I wonder the same thing. Danielle is freakishly smart.

She also seems wonderfully fun. What better way to pass the time than Tweet with your TV daughter and her best friend. Why do people not understand how amazing Girl Meets World is going to be?

It's Time For Some Girl Meets World Tweets!

You know you love these.
I feel like that classroom looks like the season 2, 3, and 4 Boy Meets World classroom used by Turner and Feeny, but with a paint job. So I asked if it was. I will keep you posted.

That Mac and Cheese looks way more amazing than what comes in the blue box. I would be excited for those days, too, yum yum! (It is currently ramen day in Amanda's writing sphere. No add ins.)

The 90s never truly left us, as we can see in the flannel being sported by Rowan Blanchard and August Maturo.  I love Rowan's skirt, too. These two are too adorable, and they have style.

Who else is Team That's Totally The Same Classroom From Boy Meets World?

Aww! Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, Together Again

Aww!  Okay, yes, it's only their chairs, but they sit in them.  Plus, @AugustMaturo tweeted this earlier:

To be a fly on that wall!  I can't wait until they start filming in front of a live studio audience, and I definitely can't wait for Girl Meets World to premiere on Disney Channel!

What's More Real Than Cake, Cupcakes, and Script Covers?

Topanga and Louis!  On the set!  They are actually on set, guys!  The only way it gets any more real than that is the episodes start airing on Disney Channel!  It's really really really happening!  I can't wait!  January or February 2014 can't come soon enough.

What's More Real Than Cake or Cupcakes?

That Instagram link, y'all, is for the cover page of the Girl Meets World script.  I mean, okay, it doesn't give anything away except that Joel Zwick wrote it, it's Ben's script, and the episode is called "Girl Meets Boy."  But it's still more real than cake and cupcakes combined, and it's super exciting.  Yay!

Matthews Family Pictures!

How are we supposed to stand this wait?  Cory, Topanga, Riley, and Louis Matthews just look like the awesomest family.  They had the table read today - production soon and then actual episodes on the air!  It's all so close and yet so far away.
