Girl Meets World: The First Episode Is In the Can

THIS IS A RUMOR.  I AM SPREADING RUMORS.  THIS IS COMING FROM A PLACE OF EXPERTISE, BUT I ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING FOR A FACT AND AM ONLY SPECULATING.  THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY FACT, BUT AGAIN, A RUMOR.  Needed to get that disclaimer out of the way.

Given how quickly the episode filmed (only two days), and given this thing called child labor laws and given how much of the cast is children, I have a theory that they simply re-shot scenes of the pilot.  The pilot wasn't going to work as is, as it was, because of Teo Halm's now defunct character of Elliot Matthews being in it.  However, it did have Feeny and they probably really wanted to keep that.  At the same time, they needed to introduce August Maturo's character of Louis Matthews and possibly Peyton Meyer's character of Tristan Friar.  I can't prove it, but it's much more likely that's the case than they filmed an entire episode in two days with strict child labor laws and the fact it can take up to 12 hours to film 4 minutes (I have a background in film).

However, it is exciting to know the first episode is done.  Take back everything else I said makes Girl Meets World real, this is the second most real thing about it.

The first most is when it actually airs.

For those who don't know, Mark Blutman is one of the Boy Meets World writers that is also going to be working on Girl Meets World.  Guys, I only have one reaction for this.

Yes, I've been reduced to memes, but I'm so excited.  Oh my gosh, y'all.  IT'S HAPPENING!

Production Definitely Starts in November

Danielle Fishel herself confirmed that Girl Meets World starts production in November in an Us Weekly article.  She also discusses her upcoming wedding - congratulations Danielle!  She also discusses how Ben Savage will always be her first husband and that is so super cute.  Cory and Topanga will always be that older couple in high school that had that relationship I wanted, Cory is that dumbass friend I grew up with that I can't believe is a parent now.  I mean, remember that he was babysitting his sister, abandoned her, and she broke a door and then ran away to the backyard and he thought she was kidnapped?  That kid is responsible for human life.

Oh, and because it's just as perfect, remember that time he led the seventh grade class on strike because he didn't want to take a test?  That kid is a teacher now.

I can't wait to be reunited with my old friends and even meet their kids.  I'm sure once I meet Riley and Louis, I'll be reassured.  Then again, in the back of my mind, I'll always know there was an Elliot and I'll wonder.  Oh, man, will I wonder.

Update: Girl Meets World to Start Filming Next Month

According to Nick and Disney TV and BMWsequeldotcom's Twitter accounts, Girl Meets World is going to start filming next month.  Freaking finally, I've been waiting all summer!  After the casting decision to let Teo Halm go as older brother Elliot Matthews, it makes sense that they had been planning to start filming in the near future.
