Confirmed: Girl Meets Marissa, Marissa, and Missy is Episode 4

The fourth episode of Girl Meets World is the one previously believed to be the third, "Girl Meets Marissa, Marissa,and Missy". There is a lot of interesting things about it. First of all, they are now casting for younger versions of Marissa, Marissa, and Missy. Man, I hope they're like the Ashleys on Recess. Scandalous!

Also, our friends at bmwsequel.com are reporting that a young actress, Ava Kolker, may have been cast in this fourth episode. Check it out for more information.

"Girl Meets Friendship" still seems to be the second episode, though no details have been officially released. There are no details available on the third episode at this time.

Girl Meets World Rumors: I Love Causing Trouble

I don't know if you ever check out the links in my sidebar, but you should, especially since the Girl Meets World wiki has an episode guide forming. From what I know, this is probably accurate.

And now I cause trouble. Potential spoilers, but I'm going to guess what each episode is about.

"Girl Meets Boy": This is the one episode we know for a fact is right because of Ben Savage's script. Obviously, Riley meets Tristan. There's more to the episode, but I can't guess what.

"Girl Meets Friendship": They are, in fact, casting a Young Riley, Kindergarten Maya, and a Kindergarten Farkle, so I believe that's for this episode where there will probably be a flashback showing how these three characters met.

"Girl Meets Marissa, Marissa, and Missy": Again, they are casting for the three roles in that title. I'm going to guess... mean girls, and either Riley, Maya, or both want to fit in with them until the power of love and friendship reminds them that they're not evil. Or something. I may have just regurgitated the plot to an episode of Punky Brewster.

Again, there's nothing official (other than casting calls) to support any of this. I'm just starting trouble. Giving the casting and the episode titles, what do you think?

We know Rider Strong was on set for the pilot, too. They say Rider's just involved as a fan right now, but I have my own theory. A totally made up borderline fanfic theory. Weird Uncle Shawn lives in the crawl space. He occasionally comes down to drop words of wisdom, mostly to Riley about how awesome Cory actually is. Also, for some reason, he never wears a shirt. Yes, please.

I'm kidding, but it's actually genius. If Rider Strong goes to visit all the time, they could put him in an episode with nobody knowing. "Oh, Rider's on set? Just another Tuesday." And then, bam, a happy surprise for everyone.

Girl Meets World: The First Episode Is In the Can

THIS IS A RUMOR.  I AM SPREADING RUMORS.  THIS IS COMING FROM A PLACE OF EXPERTISE, BUT I ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING FOR A FACT AND AM ONLY SPECULATING.  THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY FACT, BUT AGAIN, A RUMOR.  Needed to get that disclaimer out of the way.

Given how quickly the episode filmed (only two days), and given this thing called child labor laws and given how much of the cast is children, I have a theory that they simply re-shot scenes of the pilot.  The pilot wasn't going to work as is, as it was, because of Teo Halm's now defunct character of Elliot Matthews being in it.  However, it did have Feeny and they probably really wanted to keep that.  At the same time, they needed to introduce August Maturo's character of Louis Matthews and possibly Peyton Meyer's character of Tristan Friar.  I can't prove it, but it's much more likely that's the case than they filmed an entire episode in two days with strict child labor laws and the fact it can take up to 12 hours to film 4 minutes (I have a background in film).

However, it is exciting to know the first episode is done.  Take back everything else I said makes Girl Meets World real, this is the second most real thing about it.

The first most is when it actually airs.

Girl Meets World Starts Filming Today: Rumor Mill Break Down

Now that the cameras have officially started rolling, the crazy rumors that have flown around are going to get crazier and re-stated to the point that they sound like truth.  Let's break down the rumors and see if there's any truth to them.

Rumor: Girl Meets World Is Filming In Front of a Live Studio Audience

That is the plan, eventually, and hopefully even this season.  However, at this time, there is no live studio audience.

Rumor: Mr. Feeny Is a Series Regular

Mr. Feeny only filmed the pilot.  This is a new show for a new generation, and Cory is now filling the teacher/mentor role.  He just happens to also be filling in the Dad role.  They've really consolidated.

Rumor: (Insert Name of Any Boy Meets World Cast Member Here) Is Going To Be In An Episode

This is where the rumors are really... messy.  Will Friedle has no immediate plans to be involved as anything other than a fan, simply because he does not do live action anymore.  In a Google+ Hangout, Betsey Randle said that Amy and Alan will return.  Lily Nicksay, Rider Strong, and Anthony Tyler Quinn have all said they would return if asked.  Michael Jacobs has said that he would like to say where all the Boy Meets World characters are in the future - but obviously, Girl Meets World still needs to establish itself.  So, at this point, except for Amy, Alan, Mr. Feeny in the pilot, and obviously Cory and Topanga, no former cast member's involvement has been confirmed by anyone.

Rumor: The Show Is Premiering On Such and Such Date

Rumors, and nothing but.  There has been no confirmed premiere date.  Even the January/February 2014 date floating around hasn't been confirmed by Disney, but is widely accepted because it came from a pretty reliable source.  The only thing we really know for sure is that Girl is coming out in 2014, and the cameras start rolling today (November 11, 2013).

I think that's it for this round of rumors.  Pretty much, if something has been confirmed, you should be able to find it on the Twitter accounts of any of the cast members, the crew members, or even on this blog, or bmwsequel.com, etc.  If something is confirmed, it will have been reported.  Can't find a source?  Just a rumor for now.

We Might Finally Find Out What Happened to Mr. Turner!

According to Michael Jacobs, Mr. Turner's fate may finally be revealed on Girl Meets World! This better not be a tease because I made my peace long ago. In my headcanon, Mr. Turner had a slow recovery before returning to teach on the other side of the school where Minkus was hanging out. Now I have my hopes up.

Speaking of Minkus, the article does mention that Jacobs wants to reveal what happened to everybody. I hope no nerdlingers from the elementary school days are excluded.
