A very Happy Birthday to William Russ, aka Mr. Alan Matthews! He was like everyone's dad, but literally the dad of Cory, Eric, and Morgan and now the grandfather of Riley and Louis (and Elliot... not letting it go yet). Admit it, the moment you wished he was your dad was when he explained he was like Shawn and guys like him and Shawn needed friends like Cory after the cherry bomb incident. My parents would have been like "you need new friends", but my parents failed to realize that I was the bad influence.

He's got to at least show up on Girl Meets World for Christmas and be a surrogate granfather for Maya, right?
