Boy Meets World Complete Series Box Set Comes Out Tuesday

You guys are smart cookies, and you probably already pre-ordered your Boy Meets World complete series box set, which comes out Tuesday, November 5th.  Anyway, there's a chance some of you haven't pre-ordered it, so you'll want to be looking at prices.

I'm your one stop Boy Meets World pricing stop.  The DVD's suggested retail price is $99.98, but I think we can do better than that.

First up is the obvious default choice of many, Amazon.  It's already marked down 25% and is selling for $74.99 - plus free shipping.  If you're a Prime member and can order it before midnight November 3rd (or November 4th, depending on your point of view on such things), your free two day shipping will get it delivered to you the day it comes out.  According to Amazon.  My math puts that firmly on you getting it on Wednesday, but I don't work for Amazon, so I'm not even going to think about it.

Obviously, the next place to look are the retail outlets.  This is the future, so you have options there.  Let it show up at your house.  Order it site-to-store.  Just go pick it up the day it comes out like the cavemen did in the 90s.  Anyway, I looked at Walmart, Target, K-Mart, and Best Buy because they're the most common stores.  Walmart has it for $84.98, making much more worth it to buy it on Amazon.  Target did not even have it listed online, so they're out - they could full well be getting it on Tuesday, but if I can't price them, they can't play.  K-Mart falls into the same trap that Target does - except, I don't think K-Mart lists any movies online.  Do they even know that this is 2013?  Anyway, that leaves Best Buy, who has it for the same price as Amazon, $74.99.  If you don't pre-order and spend just a little bit of gas money, you can still have it the day it comes out for the same price.  Walmart being the low price leader my ass.

It was a long shot, but I decided... why not?  I decided to see how much the DVD would cost at FYE, the only dedicated movie and music store I can still think of.  They have to carry it just because that's what they do - FYE has The PJs on DVD; they literally can't fail me, or else they fail America. After seeing something truly disturbing on their front page, I shook myself out of it and searched for the DVD.  $84.98 for non-members, and $76.48 for members.  It's more expensive than Best Buy and Amazon, but if you happen to be an FYE member, you can still get it cheaper than Walmart.

In conclusion - whatever you do, don't get the box set from Walmart.  You will literally be throwing away money.
